During Phase One of the project, we created digital story maps using Google Maps. These maps showcase a variety of photos. They also include reflections from community photo walks. These maps were developed to share visual, audio, and written insights. The open format encourages collaboration. It helps spark wider conversations about place, change, and nature in the city.
The project has evolved. Our main platform for community contributions is now CommuniMap. It’s a participatory app designed to make it easy for people to upload their own observations, stories, and creative content. Through CommuniMap, anyone can contribute to a growing picture of how climate, environment, and everyday life intersect across Glasgow.
The original story maps stay available as an archive of early work. Our focus is now on building community science and storytelling through the app.
